In my first service at my new church, Eternal Life Assembly, on 29 Jan, my senior pastor, Rev Bob Lum, preached a messaged based on Colossians 2:7. He presented the verse as the church’s theme for the year. The message and verse impacted me. Right in the service, I penned down a few lines as a prayer response which reflected my desire go deeper with God in the new year. I wanted to God to open my eyes to His beauty, my ears to hear the melodies in heaven and my heart to receive more of His grace. Part of that few lines ended up being the chorus. I reflected on the verse over the next two weeks and finally had the entire song together. It is my prayer that this song will create a greater desire in the listener to go deeper with God. He’s constantly wooing and inviting us into His presence. REVIEWS: Cheryl Loo – Worship Pastor at RiverLife Church, Singapore I fell in love with the song, "Deeper" the moment I heard it because it echoed the cry of my heart. The song is an invitation to come sit on the Father's lap, lean in to hear His heart and pour out affection and love on Him. "Deeper" never fails to take me to that place! Rev Robert Lum - Assistant General Superintendent of AG Singapore & Senior Pastor at Eternal Life Assembly “I want to go deeper, deeper in the knowledge of You … I want to go deeper, deeper with you” – these words keep repeating in my mind when I hear the song. The wonderful truth about this longing is that it is my response to God’s gentle whisper to me. It is not my effort or initiative. It is God’s love that calls out to me. As you listen to the song, you will be drawn into His wonderful Presence.
